Desiree Kaul is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC® ) with over 10 years’ experience in financial counseling, education, and planning. She is the proud spouse to a Retired Army Officer and has one adult son.
Military spouse employment is unpredictable. Each military move and deployment brings its own expenses and career interruption, so learning how to budget became paramount. Desiree paid off her own student loan and credit card debt in just two short years. Since then, she has developed a passion for understanding finances and how a solid financial foundation can open a world of choice. She began her first formal financial education program in 2012 helping other military families become financially strong and now enjoys talking to anyone who needs a little guidance.
While her passions are budgeting and saving, Desiree is adept at helping people with all aspects of their financial lives. Women and families that have members with special circumstances hold a special place in her heart. When she isn’t working you will find her walking the beach, riding her bike, kayaking in the nearby river, or reading a good book.
