MainStreet Financial Planning (MSFP) is a fee-only, project or hourly practice firm using either a comprehensive or an a la carte personal financial planning approach. We are based in Odenton, Maryland with additional offices in Washington, DC and Santa Barbara, California. We see clients in one of our offices, or their office or home. MSFP does not sell products or manage money. The firm solely provides advice. Our clientèle is mostly middle-class, and our most frequent categories are newly married couples usually with small children, 50'ish couples contemplating retirement and college funding, independent women and business owners.

Founder Jim Ludwick, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM practitioner, and Anna Sergunina, assistant planner, provide a wide range of services for individuals, families and employers. This includes financial planning, investment advice, real estate advice, insurance advice, and seminars for employees along with individual counseling sessions at the work site.

Today, Jim and Anna service clients in more than ten states and several foreign countries. The firm is a Registered Investment Adviser in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia and California.
