Welcome! I’m Katherine Edwards, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® dedicated to helping clients prepare for and transition into retirement. I focus on guiding families as they create sustainable income, manage taxes, and build clarity and confidence around their retirement years. My passion is to give clients peace of mind so they can not only reach their goals, but also enjoy life along the way.
I’ve been in the financial planning industry since 2014 and earned my CFP® designation through Kaplan’s program at Duke University in 2017. I joined MainStreet Financial Planning in 2022 because I wanted to be part of a team that values transparent, conflict-free advice and puts clients first. Over the years, I’ve helped people create financial plans that reflect their values, goals, and dreams—and I believe that a comprehensive retirement plan can change the trajectory of someone’s life and leave a lasting impact on future generations.
I also enjoy sharing financial knowledge with others. I’ve volunteered at a nonprofit providing financial counseling focused on paying off debt and monthly budgeting, and I’ve spoken at UNC Pharmacy School and Duke Law School to help students navigate challenges like student loans, investing, and buying a home.
I live just outside of Nashville, TN, in Murfreesboro with my husband, Jonathan, and our two golden retrievers, Brinkley and Brady. When I’m not working with clients, you can usually find me walking the dogs, gardening, exploring new restaurants, trying new wines, or rewatching my favorite episodes of The Office.
Let’s connect and start creating a retirement plan that gives you confidence and peace of mind for the years ahead.
