Money Date – The Non-Financial Side of Retirement

Money Date – The Non-Financial Side of Retirement

Today we’re talking about the non-financial side of retirement.

The truth is that your retirement planning isn’t always about the dollars and cents of your financial plan!

Many people look at retirement and think to themselves: I can’t wait to retire – I’ll play golf all day long! or Won’t it be amazing to not have a career to wake up to every day? I’ll be so relaxed!

While the newness of retirement can be exciting at first, many retirees find themselves growing less and less satisfied with their retirement lifestyle. This can be solved if you plan ahead!

Think about your retirement as life-changing decisions:

  • Where are you going to live?
  • How will you spend your time?
  • What do you want to accomplish in this new season?

I often think it’s helpful to create a vision board, and to start building a strategy for how you want your life to look both now and in retirement.
