Daily Juice 093 – Holiday Gift Ideas- Monetary

Over the last few episodes, we talked about getting ready for holidays and finding ways to earn extra income.

Now, let’s shift our focus on gift ideas for the variety of different budgets, provided we put our holiday spending plan together. In this episode, I would like to talk about Monetary gifts.

Here are a few ideas:

  1. You can always buy a regular gift at the mall or Amazon– your loved one really wanted something (the latest model of the iPhone 7 or a new pair of shoes) for a while and you going to give them that gift. Fine go with it.
  2. Experience gifts – these are the gifts that require you and your loved one to actually do something, go somewhere, etc. A great site to find ideas is Groupon. You can buy a massage certificate, a stay at a nice hotel or a package of yoga classes. You name it, they most likely have it. Tripadvisor.com has a great feature where you can search for “10 Best things to do in your area”, which will fall into the category of “Experience gifts”.
  3. Financial Goals gifts – for example, you know your family member or friend is saving for a home down payment or saving for the big European vacation or funding their kids 529 plan, instead of buying them a useless trinket, why don’t you first ask them what they want and then contribute to that goal.

Check out https://www.plumfund.com/ which is a platform for setting up a place where all your friends and family can contribute dollars to your goals.
