Desiree Kaul joined MainStreet Financial Planning Team in January of 2021.

She has extensive experience in financial counseling and education includes previous work as a Personal Financial Counselor on Patrick Air Force Base, educating service members on various financial topics including the rollout of the Blended Retirement System (BRS) which makes her a perfect addition to our ever-growing team! She is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®).

MainStreet Team: When did you join the MS team?

Desiree: January 4, 2021 was my start date.

MainStreet Team: What has been your favorite project at MS, or what are you looking forward to?

Desiree: I am looking forward to getting to know each client, so I can help the team serve them best.

MainStreet Team: Do you have a favorite book or movie?

Desiree: I like the Women’s Murder Club series of books by James Patterson.

MainStreet Team: Favorite ice cream flavor?

Desiree: Chocolate.

MainStreet Team: Recent event you attended/place you visited that you loved?

Desiree: Del Ray Beach, FL.

MainStreet Team: If you were stranded on a desert island, what’s the one thing you’d bring with you?

Desiree: Sunscreen, I am pale and burn easy!

MainStreet Team: Where were you born?

Desiree: Michigan.

MainStreet Team: Tell us about your family?

Desiree: My family is pretty small, I am the only child. However, I have two siblings by marriage. I have been married for 21 years and I have one son that is 17. I am blessed that my parents and my grandmother are still with us.

MainStreet Team: What is one item on your bucket list?

Desiree: I have never been to Europe (except England).

MainStreet Team: Favorite bumper sticker?

Desiree: These are like tattoos, I have never found one I loved enough.

Kassy Hunt joined MainStreet in April of 2016. She brings over 20 years of client service experience. She began waiting tables at 16, and has been helping people in one form or another ever since. Kassy has managed both music and videogame stores, been an Associate Financial Planner, and has even overseen a pirate bar. This widely varied experience, along with growing up around the world as a Navy brat, has given Kassy the ability and the desire to get to know, and help, all kinds of people. With the help of her son (office manager) James, she keeps our advisors on track, assists our clients with scheduling, and keeps the MainStreet trains running on time. In her limited spare time, she enjoys playing with her son and two dogs, sewing, making baked goods out of pumpkins, and attending Pirate festivals with her family, as her alter ego Poppet.
